The concrete surrounds and pavers were then placed into the hole in layers with crushed rock and compacted every 100-200mm until approx 1 metre below surface.

Top soil was then used to fill the remaining hole. Landscaping could then be completed on a level yard without any remnants of the existing pool.
Alternatively the concrete surrounds and structure can be taken away for recycling.
